What we do

Our support group is open twice a week to all members and once a month specifically for those within the 18-50 age bracket, welcoming members to our thriving and vibrant club. The cost to members includes a highly subsidised £20 annual subscription payment – this can be paid at once or in instalments throughout the year. All money paid to the charity goes back into it’s running.

Working age group sessions have a £1 charge for refreshments, with the cost of additional subsidised trips dependent of the activity.

We also organise regular day trips to include boat trips, places of interest, museums, and bowling. Any such trips are subsidised to a set cost per member of up to £20.

Annual holiday
A week-long break to a UK hotel on the coast is organised for those who want to join others on a fun-packed week. Transport to and from the hotel will be included along with day outings during the week to make the holiday even more special. Costs of holidays are  subsidised for members and are confirmed once they are booked.

Watford Goalball
We are delighted to have started a goalball club in Watford in conjunction with RNIB and Goalball UK.

Goalball is a team sport played by the visually impaired and after 2 very successful taster sessions, funding has been secured to continue the club with monthly training sessions.

Training will take place on the 3rd Sunday of each month 1.30-4pm at Watford Central Leisure Centre. To find out more details please contact us or email: watfordgoalball@gmail.com.

In April 2024, we were so pleased to learn that we had been successful in being awarded a grant from the National Lottery Community Fund for £184,000 allowing us to begin the pre-work for the updates to our hall.

On the 2nd June 2022 it was announced that we were included in the 244 voluntary groups selected to receive The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in 2022.
